Online French Winter Reading Camp

Our theme this Online Winter Camp 2024 is READING!

Each day will be focused on practicing and improving our French reading and speaking skills through exploring different texts, comprehension questions, and discussions. During this school year, reading has been the number one item parents have been requesting assistance with through our tutoring program so we thought we would make an engaging and fun online winter camp program around that theme! For this program you can sign up for a full week or individual days to suit your schedule.

Whether it’s online or in-person, creating spaces for students to feel confident and have fun while learning French is something we have excelled at since 2009 and we’d love to have your child join us for our upcoming Online Winter Camp Program 2024!  Each session is run by a kind and knowledgable teacher who’s goal is to help your child have fun while learning French.

Our curriculum, which has been developed by certified French teachers focuses on:

• Vocabulary Development
• Fluency of speech
• Comprehension strategies
• Speaking practice
• Increasing positive learning experiences in French
• Increasing confidence in French while having fun!

What do students need to participate?

For our online winter camp, all students need is some blank or lined paper, pencil, and marker or pencil crayons.

Students also need to be a at a minimum of a grade 3 reading level to get the maximum enjoyment out of this program. If you are not sure their level, please book a free tutoring assessment with us and we will be more then happy to let you know where they are at and if this program would be the best fit. If it isn’t we will be able to make alternative recommendations to help your child succeed in French and French reading.
