In this video we talk about the process of how we made our first book! We premiered it at our book launch event earlier last month at the Westdale Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario. While we talked about the process of making the book at our event, I really wanted to make sure our newsletter readers were included to so it was very important to me that we put this together 🙂 If you check it out, be sure to subscribe to our channel and leave a comment so we know you were there! I can’t believe we finished our first book that we started over 2 years ago!

Our Book Launch Event Last Month!
We had our book launch event for our first ever French levelled Reader called Chez Mamie on June 3rd at The Westdale Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario. It was so great to gather with people who have supported us through the past 13 years and celebrate the completion of our first book!
Thank you to everyone who attended this very special milestone event! It was so cool seeing our book projected on the big screen, signing copies of people’s books and getting to enjoy French with everyone. Thanks to our friends at Canadian Parents for French who were also there helping out!

Chez Mamie is a story about Nadine who is a 10 year old girl who loves to visit her grandparents during the summer vacation on their farm in Picton, Ontario. There they grow different kinds of food and do lots of fun activities. Join Nadine on her and her family’s adventure to the farm!

This story is a levelled French reader aimed at French Immersion Students or French as Second Language readers between ages 7-9. This book focuses on building vocabulary (colours, sizes, fruits, vegetables and family) and includes guided comprehension questions that can be uses in a classroom or home setting.
