In this video we talk about the process of how we made our first book! We premiered it at our book launch event earlier last month at the Westdale Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario. Chez Mamie is a story about Nadine who is a 10 year old girl who loves to visit her grandparents during the summer vacation on their farm in Picton, Ontario. There they grow different kinds of food and do lots of fun activities. Join Nadine on her and her family’s adventure to the farm!
This story is a levelled French reader aimed at French Immersion Students or French as Second Language readers between ages 7-9. This book focuses on building vocabulary (colours, sizes, fruits, vegetables and family) and includes guided comprehension questions that can be uses in a classroom or home setting.
