3. Cootes Paradise Elementary School Pick-Up & Drop-Off

Pick-up and drop-off service is available from Cootes Paradise Elementary School upon request.

After-School Pick-Up

Les Petites Pommes staff pick up registered students from Cootes Paradise Elementary School after dismissal and walk them to our program at 215 Cline Avenue North.

Parents must provide the school with written permission allowing Les Petites Pommes staff to pick up their child.

It is important that children know where they are expected to meet our staff and arrive promptly at the designated pick-up area.

If a child does not arrive at the designated pick-up area, our staff cannot leave the other children waiting indefinitely while searching for them. Staff will proceed to Temple Anshe

Sholom with the children who have been handed into our care and will contact the family of the missing student.

Les Petites Pommes cannot assume responsibility for a child until the child has been handed into our care by a responsible adult.

Before-School Drop-Off:

Morning drop-off at Cootes Paradise Elementary School is available for registered Before School French Club students upon request.

Families requiring school pick-up or drop-off should ensure that Les Petites Pommes has been informed in advance.

4. Attendance & Absences

If your child will not be attending on one of their regularly scheduled days, please notify us as soon as possible and, whenever possible, at least three hours before their scheduled after-school pick-up time.

You can notify us by:
Email: contact@lespetitespommes.ca

Phone/Text: 289-339-0071

We will confirm that your absence notification has been received.

This is particularly important for students we are scheduled to pick up from Cootes Paradise Elementary School.

Frequent unreported absences may result in a review of your child’s enrolment.

School Absences

If your child has stayed home from school due to illness, they should also remain home from the Before School French Club or After School Academy that day.

Planned Absences

Please let us know in advance about vacations, appointments or other planned absences. There are no refunds or credits for missed program days, including planned absences.

5. Illness During the Program

If your child becomes ill while attending Les Petites Pommes, we will contact the child’s parent/guardian or emergency contacts and arrange for the child to be picked up as soon as possible.

Please ensure that the contact and emergency information associated with your child’s registration remains current throughout the school year.

Parents/guardians or authorized adults are required to sign children out when they leave our care.

7. Late Pick-Up

The After School Academy ends at 6:00 PM. Children must be picked up no later than 6:00 PM.

Consistent late pick-ups may result in removal from the program.

9. Injuries & First Aid

If a minor injury occurs during the program, Les Petites Pommes staff will provide appropriate first aid and inform the child’s parent/guardian.

For moderate or serious injuries, parents/guardians will be contacted and Les Petites Pommes will complete a written incident/injury report documenting what occurred, the treatment provided and any necessary follow-up.

If staff notice an injury that appears to have occurred before the child entered our care, we may also document it and communicate with the child’s parent/guardian.
