Throughout our learning journeys, various needs arise a different junctures.
One year students are chugging along perfectly fine and other years challenges arise where extra support is necessary. In this week’s newsletter, our awesome book writer Juana is back to talk about different times when group learning might be better for the student and the family.
In previous editions of our newsletter, we’ve explored the merits of one-on-one tutoring and its benefits when combined with traditional classroom learning. While we love working with students one-on-one, sometimes it simply isn’t the best option. Some reasons that have come up are: difficulty consistently scheduling, cost is too high, or a group setting would just be better for the students’ learning goals and needs.
If any of these reasons resonate with you then look no further as we have created a dynamic space where students’ can hone their language skills, interact with peers outside the school environment, and experience the joy of language learning in a vibrant community! Scheduling is also solved since it is every weekday at 5:30pm EST and it is drop-in so no need to worry about missing a class here and there. Finally, the cost is lower than that of one-on-one tutoring, providing a greater number of potential learning hours.

The French Learning Circle is an exclusive membership program designed specifically for students in grades 3 and 4. Here, we offer daily drop-in group classes with a strong focus on enhancing French reading and speaking abilities. It’s the perfect platform for students who thrive in small, interactive groups, cultivating their French proficiency alongside fellow learners. Our cozy and inviting environment, combined with small group sessions, encourages increased interaction and practice, fostering a learning experience that transcends traditional classroom settings. Each season, we introduce fresh and engaging themes that bridge the gap between everyday life and different elements of French culture.
I’ve had the privilege of personally leading some of our French Learning Circle sessions, and it’s truly remarkable to witness how, in just 30 minutes, students allow themselves to engage in conversations, showcasing their creativity and resourcefulness with the language. This transformative experience equips them with newfound confidence as they return to their school environment.
Moreover, the French Learning Circle offers a lifeline for children who possess a good understanding of French but encounter specific hurdles. Through our reading practices, we stand ready to provide targeted assistance on an as-needed basis, offering a flexible alternative to long-term tutoring commitments.
Happy language learning friends!
