This year I received my first Spotify Artist Wrapped! Spotify Wrapped is a compilation of data showing highlights of notable stats in listening and streaming trends of the year for both music artists and listeners.

For those of you who have been here a while, you’ll know that I released my first album called “Come with Me” in 2022, but since it was at the end of the year I didn’t get the Spotify Wrapped data until this year. Here is a poster of some of the highlights of year:

Something that isn’t captured on this wrapped list is one of the most special moments of the year when one of our Les Petites Pommes students told me she performed her end of year skating recital to my song Possibilities. It was an application of my music that I never even thought about when producing the album and it really touched my heart!

Curious to give Come With Me a listen? You can enjoy the album by clicking here or check out and subscribe to my YouTube channel!

After seeing my artist wrap, I thought it would be neat to create a Les Petites Pommes Wrapped for 2023! Luckily John and I are always compiling data throughout the year so it didn’t take as long as I thought to figure out this information:

Here’s just a few of some of the possible stats for this activity!

Our Virtual Camps

This year we continued to improve our virtual camp programs by making them morefocussed. Through working with students and teachers  in different school boards, we found that the area we could best support our students was in French reading and conversation so we adjusted our curriculums to focus on these elements.  Merci to all the awesome students and families who attended our programs this year! Pictured above is an our students in both the French Learning Circle and Winter Reading Camp last week having fun practicing French!

Our In-Person Camps

Our flagship in–person camps are located here in Hamilton, Ontario. As always we hoste PA days, March Break, Summer Camp, and Winter Camp We had an awesome in-person Winter Camp just last week

Rosseau Lake College & Les Petites Pommes Collaboration

This was my second year bringing our Les Petites Pommes French learning curriculums to an amazing school called Rosseau Lake College. During May, I spend 1 month up north delivering our intensive program for grades 7-9 for students who come from all around the world. A regular day at RLC in May can include anything from classroom learning to portaging canoes. This year I also planned for them a special, immersive French trip to Ottawa where we spent 4 days visiting different museums, a classic sugar shack and even doing a ghost walk! Can’t wait to continue our work together again this coming May!

Les Petites Pommes French Readers

Our book team was hard at work this year continuing on the next 3 books in our French Readers Series called Nos Histories (Our stories) We can’t wait to celebrate the releases of these with all of you this year. These books are greatly inspired by our Les Petites Pommes community from learning about the needs of our FSL learners for the past 15 years to create something special just for them and that is also inspired by the unique stories of their families. On behalf of our book team, a big merci to everyone who has supported this project by being a student at Les Petites Pommes. Here’s a picture of our book team approving a completed page from one of our upcoming books:

A big merci to our Les Petites Pommes learning community! Our students, parents, teachers, community supporters and everyone who follows along in our newsletter on our journey to helping students feel confident en français! We are looking forward to 2024 and continuing to grow together and helping our students succeed en français!
